Well, the party is now in full swing and rehearsals have been gathering pace over the past few weeks. We are thrilled to be bringing you Mike Leigh’s classic piece about society in suburbia in all its’ cringing 1970s glory! For those who are unfamiliar with the story, Beverley and Laurence have invited their new neighbours round for a little soiree and are joined by Sue, who’s teenage daughter, Abigail is having a party. The evening begins well but gradually descends into chaos as the drinks flow and the adults begin to behave rather badly! The characters are wonderful to play and the cast are thoroughly enjoying portraying them on stage. Directed by Lloyd Perry, he has been supporting the cast to bring this brilliant, well-known play to life and we are looking forward to performing it in Redlynch Village Hall in November.
So gather your 1970s gear, grab a cheesy pineapple on a stick and get your tickets for this great play – a perfect way to cheer up the autumn evenings!
Performances will be Wednesday 22nd November. Thursday 23rd November, Friday 24th November and Saturday 25th November at Redlynch Village Hall. Doors will open at 7pm for a 7:30 start.
