September is always an exciting month for the players as we return from our Summer break fully refreshed and enthused to begin rehearsals for our Autumn production. This year is no exception as we are really excited to be bringing a classic piece of theatre to Redlynch Village Hall!
I wonder if you can guess what it will be? Here are a few clues:
1. It features the classic canapes of cheese and pineapple on sticks!
2. This play premiered in 1977.
3. It firmly launched the career of Alison Steadman.
4. Written by Mike Leigh, it has become a classic British social comedy.
Yes, we will be performing Abigail’s Party during the week beginning 20th November with all of the 1970s splendour we can muster! Lloyd Perry will be directing us and rehearsals will begin straight away at the beginning of September.
Performances will be Wednesday 22nd November to Saturday 25th November at Redlynch Village Hall.
