What fun we had by the seaside playing out these quirky stories! We do hope you enjoyed watching them as much as we loved preparing them! I wonder how many of you will now be looking at people sitting on the prom this summer wondering what conversations are being had? I know I will!
Now, which was your favourite story? Was it the ‘well-to-do’ shoplifters, the bitter mother with her downtrodden daughter, the actresses vying for the same part, the wedding guests remembering past loves or the (trying to) keep fit cooking enthusiasts? Hopefully there was something for everyone, with lots of laughs too!
Thank you so much to all our audiences – we really do appreciate your support and it makes all the effort rehearsing through the cold winter months worthwhile.
Our next event will be this lovely afternoon to celebrate the 250th anniversary of Jane Austen’s birth! Held in Redlynch Village Hall at 3pm each afternoon, we shall be celebrating in Regency style with a delicious cream tea, as well as being entertained with a look at Jane’s life, her famous works and listening to some music from the period. This special event will be a fundraiser for St Mary’s Church, Redlynch and we would love to invite you to tea!
Tickets, priced £15 are now on sale via email: tickets@redlynchplayers.co.uk or from Ron Perry 01725 510283
“But indeed I would rather have nothing but tea”
